Life After the Call

I’m still amazed at how many blessings God has showered on me. Some of you may remember that I entered Love Inspired Suspense Killer Voices Pitch contest in February.  I had prayed about it and felt God was giving me the go ahead.

On July 2, 2014 my dreams became a reality when Elizabeth Mazer called me and offered me a contract. I’m almost embarrassed by how incoherent I was while talking with her. My excuse is that I have dreamed of that moment for years. In the space of an hour I had an agent (thank you Mary Sue Seymour) and my phone was going crazy with congratulations pouring in. I almost cried when I noticed that I was now listed as “author” on the Harlequin boards.

I’m so grateful to Harlequin and Elizabeth Mazer. I learned so much during the contest. I also met some terrific authors, published and aspiring.

I’m still amazed. I’m also excited about getting my first official revisions from Elizabeth on Tuesday. My husband has been incredible in his continuous love and support. We are looking at my writing as a career and not just a hobby. I’m so blessed.

I will continue to keep you updated. This is a journey,  so I know there will be twists and turns, but as long as God is with me, I’ll be fine.
